We have visited many different animal shelters but we couldn’t find the perfect puppy we were looking for.
So we reached out to my sister who adopted a puppy in 2017 and submitted an application on https://mercypuppyrescue.org/.
As we were anxiously waiting for the reply from them, each day felt like it was couple months.
Finally, when mercypuppyrescue.org contacted us, we had a phone call interview, all of us were so nervous and felt like I was desperately applying for a job.
Then we received more info on puppies and pictures.
This web site is a non-profit organization where they bring in rescue dogs from South Korea.
As we look though the puppy pictures, one of Pomeranian picture caught our eyes.
It was covered with long white fur, two stunning black eyes were similar size of her nose, and when she had her two front paws put together, she looked like a baby.
Below picture was the first time we have meet Snowy.
Once we decided to adopt her, in the order to take her picture down from availability, we had to deposit the money.
Also, we had our own list of what we were expectation on this new puppy and start praying about it.
Hopping that she will be gentle, love to play with kids, smart enough not to pee or poop on carpets (like most of people would concern), part of our family, just perfect size for our family dog, and healthy.
Finally, we heard back from the rescue place when she will be arriving in NJ, USA.
Then we made an arrangement to pick her up the next day since we had to drive more than 20 hours.
It was a long drive but our excitement was much larger than the exhaust of the long drive.
We took an empty box just in case if Snowy might have an upset stomach from a long drive, a soft blanket if she needed to feel comfortable, her first toy (had to get a advise from another pet owner), doggie pad, and a leash.
We were very excited but little concerned as to how her personality was.
Below was our first “Snowy” picture we received from Mercy Puppy Rescue and our family all fell in love right away.
We have filled out the application and also had a phone interview to be sure.
Since she was the rescue dog, we don’t know exact her birthday or how big she was but she was just adorable.
We’ve been writing details on Snowy, healthy, what kind of puppy, personality such as friendly, love being with kids (we have two boys), love to be part of our family, smart enough not to pee or poop in designated area, etc. and wrote down the details and Snowy just happened that she was just right for all of us.
